When you need infusion services—the administration of intravenous (IV) medications, such as chemotherapy or antibiotics—Iredell Memorial’s team is here for you.
In the past, infusion services required a hospital stay. Not anymore. We can provide you these treatments in a convenient outpatient setting. For continuity of care, cost-effectiveness, flexibility and time-saving in your treatment, Iredell Memorial's infusion care team is here with you and for you.
What we offer: from chemotherapy to antibiotic infusions
Cancer is just one of the diseases we treat at our medical infusion center. We also provide infusions for autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis. Infections, anemia and dehydration are some other conditions we treat with IV infusion therapy.
The following is a partial list of services and medications we offer. If a treatment you need isn’t listed here, please call our infusion center and ask if we can provide it to you.
- Antibiotic infusions.
- Blood product infusions.
- Hydration therapy.
- Iron therapy.
- Medication injections.
- Oncology infusions (chemotherapy and immunotherapy).
- Port-a-cath and PICC (peripherally inserted central-line catheter) line maintenance.
- Therapeutic phlebotomy.
Your comfort and convenience are our priority
Our infusion center is located in the Outpatient Services building at 739 Hartness Road (behind the hospital). Parking is conveniently located next to the building. We offer flexible appointment times and streamlined processes to ensure that we fit into your schedule.
Our facility includes a spacious outpatient treatment area. Each of our 15 private and semiprivate treatment bays has recliners, TV and Wi-Fi. A refreshment center is also located in the treatment area and stocked with items for a light breakfast, lunch or snack.
Our skilled and friendly infusion center staff
Our dedicated team is one of the reasons many of our patients have been coming to our infusion center for years for treatment.
Our team includes nurses who are certified in chemotherapy/immunotherapy through North Carolina Baptist Hospital and oncology-certified through the National Oncology Nursing Society. Every member of our staff will provide you with the same care and compassion they would want for their own family.
How to receive infusion services
If you would like to receive infusion treatments at Iredell Health System, you’ll need a referral from a provider who is licensed in North Carolina.
